Peet is one of 11 student-athletes named to the Academic All-Area team, joining teammates Dylan Gearinger, Greg Morgan and Henry Woods.

The pair of selections represent the first time that two Haverford student-athletes have been selected in the same academic year.

Sol Tollin 51, Stuart Levitt 63, Stephanie B. James 87, Amy Furr Stilwell 90, and Matt Leighninger 92 entered the department s hall of fame during a ceremony at Founders Great Hall in conjunction with the College's Alumni Weekend.

Dylan Gearinger, Graham Peet and Henry Woods all take home Academic All-District honors.

Scoring is based on the team s finish at each NCAA Championship in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field.

Action will begin on Thursday, May 24 and continue through Saturday, May 26 at Roger Harring Stadium at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Gearinger becomes the first Haverford athlete to win the award since Charlie Marquardt was honored following the 2015 outdoor campaign.

Kevin Foley was the NCAA Division III national champion in the outdoor 1,500 meters in 1981, 1982 and 1983.

Juniors Greg Morgan and Graham Peet each qualified for the finals in their respective events on Thursday afternoon.
